There are many bogus reviews of the Linden Method all over the internet and I suspect they are written by Charles Linden’s organisation (notice the almost identical words, layouts and even the same dialogue box when attempting to close the page asking if you’re sure) and attempt to make it sound like an expose in the description, or others who are trying to make money by referrals. For example: thelindenmethodexposed.com is not an expose at all; it is another Linden Method advertising site. If you look up: is the Linden Method a scam?, there are only articles and sites praising him. I find that very, very suspicious!
This is a true review by someone who paid for the program and been through it.
The Linden Method is not what it claims to be. A money back guarantee is certainly not what it appears. You have to jump through hoops and even then it’s like trying to get an insurance company to pay up.
The course is rather sparse. A few CDs with one track on each: Visualisation Exercise, Radio Interview (pointless), Nine Pillars and Panic Eliminator. There is also a poor quality DVD of Tai Chi and a manual (which is more a poorly written autobiography for the most part of a man who sounds very needy with some info on panic anxiety disorder, OCD, medication etc. It’s all rather amateurish.
As to the program itself; it has a fatal contradiction which I noticed when I listened to Panic Eliminator (CD). The premise of the program is “distraction, distraction, distraction.” But when I listened to Panic Eliminator I felt betrayed and cheated. It claimed that the only way to get free of panic anxiety is to simply allow the panic to happen, to be brave, rather than Linden’s Nine Pillars approach. That is completely contrary to the whole course. I think it’s basically thrown in as a legal opt out for people who do not find the Linden Method to work – in my experience, it certainly doesn’t.
After finding this contradiction I telephoned and e-mailed to get a refund. They came up with many reasons to not keep to the “no quibble money back guarantee.” They refused to pay up.
I’ve also noticed that Charles Linden doesn’t like criticism. His YouTube channel only allows positive comments that have been approved.
Since my disappointment I have to admit to being somewhat jaded on the whole area of programs for panic sufferers. But a year or two later I discovered Lucinda Bassett’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression program. I would also like to note that her website has a free forum and doesn’t censor posts. Anyone can criticise her methods and the same is true of her YouTube channel. I think that says a lot – nothing to hide.
Lucinda Bassett knows her stuff and has lived it. She also has a very professional team around her and the members of the forum are kind, considerate and always reply to posts with compassion and encouragement. You don’t have to be doing the program either.
In short, I think Charles Linden is all about making money and getting approval, which makes me think that he is not as cured as he would have us believe.
Lucinda Bassett on the other hand is passionate about helping people to be free of this debilitating disorder. I have found her to be honest, wise and thoughtful.
WATCH OUT FOR CHARLES LINDEN’S PROGRAM AND IT’S CONTRADICTIONS. I’m sure that some people have found help from Charles Linden’s program, but I believe they would’ve found any program useful as they only needed something to hold on to. Also, I would guess that only people who have a short term issue with anxiety would be helped.
I feel cheated by Charles Linden and I know others who feel the same. No wonder Linden censors comments on YT.
In conclusion:
So, do I think Charles Linden’s program is a scam? The simple answer is, no. I would say that the no quibble, money back guarantee certainly is not what it appears. If it is not a scam, is it any good? In my experience, no. It is poorly put together and is not a quality product. It certainly didn’t work for me and as I’ve said before has a fatal contradiction.
I think Charles Linden owns many web sites posing as objective reviews, when they are simply adverts. I think Charles Linden hates any kind of criticism or frank discussion of his program. He even tells those who have bought his program not to listen or read anyone else’s material or research anyone else on the subject of panic anxiety disorder, OCD, PTSD, etc etc. I’ve already mentioned his complete censorship of any comments on his YT channel and has no free forum on his many websites for his program. He wants to control what information you access; that being information that only comes from himself. I will even allow comments that are pro Charles Linden (as long as they are not adverts) and even give Charles Linden right of reply (something he doesn’t offer the rest of us).
Is this the type of person or program you think will work for you?
I will not be linking to either of the programs discussed in this post. I am not affiliated to either of them and am not advertising them (no affiliate links here). You know how to use a search engine, so are more than able to find them.
